Customer Service Representative

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and PC games.
  • A 3-month probationary period is required to be qualified as a full-time employee.
  • Skills to keep the store tidy and follow up with some cleaning duties.
  • Skills to follow up with the counter-customer service.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, drug tests, and a valid driver’s license.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Duties

  • Greeting customers
  • Counter Service, POS Operation
  • Guiding customers to the computer stations
  • Cleaning and organizing stations after customers leave
  • Cleaning and organizing the store to keep the tidy condition
  • Tech support for simple issues, H/W, and S/W (including games) issues.

Job Types & Schedules

Part-Time for 2-day weekends schedules

  • Weekend-Overnight Shift, 12 am to 8 am, Sat and Sun. (Finish by Sun 8 am)
  • Weekend-Day Shift, 8 am to 4 pm, Sat and Sun.
  • Weekend-Evening Shift, 4 pm to 12 am, Sat and Sun.

Full-Time for 5-day weekdays schedules

  • Weekday-Overnight Shift, 12 am to 8 am Mon to Fri (5 Days per week)
  • Weekday-Day Shift, 8 am to 4 pm, Mon to Fri.
  • Weekday-Evening Shift, 4 pm to 12 am Mon to Fri.

Compensation

  • $13/H for the training period including basic & advanced training for a month.
  • $13/H – $15/H starting, depending on work performance during the training period.
  • $1/H increase every 6 months, if qualified, up to $20.

Q1: What is an ESports PC Gaming Center?

A: ESports stands for Electronic Sports. Much like traditional sports like soccer or golf, the games people enjoy on computers can provide an environment for people to compete and see who is best. The Esport appeal is that you can have fun regardless of place, time, and weather conditions. Alternatively, it could be called an ESports arena, PC Gaming Center, or LAN Center.

Q2: How many people usually work at the store?

A: 1~2 staff work at the store at any one time. It may differ depending on each store and shift circumstance. In addition, there are technicians at H.Q to provide tech support, and managers for general support, either on-site or remotely.

Q3: I don’t have any experience in a LAN center business as an employee. Could I expect successful training?

A: We need a person who loves and enjoys playing games, knowing computers, and helping others. If you are a person who can fulfill those, then that will be perfect. For all the other things that you may not know how to do, please do not worry because we have a well-qualified guidebook for new employees, and expert and experienced managers to work with you as your trainer to begin working smoothly. However, we require basic knowledge of computer h/w and s/w because this is a business dealing with many gaming PCs.

Q4: It seems like there are a lot of manuals. Do I need to fully understand the employee guidebook during the 3-days of training?

A: There are many different methods to train new employees. Our company chooses to provide a staff manual that is as detailed as possible to start work smoothly. All manuals are not only for basic training, but it also works as a handbook even after basic and advanced training. You don’t need to master all provided manuals within the training period, however, we strongly recommend you review the manuals in detail and as many times as possible until you fully understand them even after the advanced training. This will lead you to have strong confidence in the workplace, and as a result, you will get a chance for not only a higher starting pay but also a better career and opportunities to be promoted to a higher position including a manager or IT tech. It may look like there are many things to learn, but the manuals are simply just very detailed.
